Fence
I needed a fence, my neighbors had spare fencing material, it sounded like a good idea to take it and build a fence.
That is how a lot of my projects start, something sounds like a good idea, so I start working on it. not all projects end well, but at least most of them get started :-D
Garage To Office
This is a project that started simple, but it didn’t stay that way for long. I bought a new house in January of 2008 and the second bedroom just wasn’t going to work as I had hoped for an office. A good friend of mine was over one day and said, “hey, lets finish that garage into an office!”. So we got out some paper and pens, and the measuring tape of course. We set out to build an office, a cheap office, we were just going to finish one wall with drywall and then build a little office.
That is how this project began, how it has turned out is a different story altogether
here are some pictures of the garage shortly after I moved in, I put my computer out there to start just to get an idea of what would be needed

Those pictures were before we started insulation, at this point it was also a very messy garage. After we took those pictures I went and got a permit. My friend showed up a couple days later to help with the installation of the insulation.

Once all the insulation was up, it was time for Drywall ( after the inspector came by of course ). I had a couple more guys show up and away we went. for most of us this was our first forray into drywall so this was an interesting learning experience, these pictures are after the first couple pieces went up.

At this point, we forgot to take the rest of the pictures..
We finished the drywall and then mudded and taped, and painted and textured.. here is what it looks like while still waiting for the top coat.
( pictures to come )
the next step is to insulate the remaining 2 walls and the ceiling and then put in some more lighting, and get some places to put stuff. those are projects for another day though
